Travel Soccer Tryouts Fall 2013/Spring 2014
The South Windsor Soccer Club is pleased to announce that it is holding open tryouts for its competitive soccer program for the following age groups for the fall 2013 and spring 2014 season. Please refer to the schedule below for tryout dates, times, and locations. Potential players are encouraged to attend all tryouts for their given age group but must attend at least one to be considered for a travel team.
Travel Soccer Program
The SWSC Travel Program’s goal is to provide the boys and girls of the Town of South Windsor a challenging and fun soccer experience. It is geared towards 7 - 14 year olds who enjoy playing soccer, want to be exposed to the benefits of a team sport and demonstrate the potential, discipline, interest and desire to increasingly improve their soccer skills. It is our goal to develop the skills of all players to their fullest potential while having fun. There are fall and spring travel soccer seasons with the coach’s option of taking part in an indoor session(s) during the winter. Most fall and spring seasons consist of two training sessions during the week and 1 or 2 games on the weekends.
Player Eligibility
Boys and Girls born between 8/1/1999 and 7/31/2006 as follows:
U9 - Born between 8/1/2004 and 7/31/2006
U10 - Born between 8/1/2003 and 7/31/2004
U11 - Born between 8/1/2002 and 7/31/2003
U12 - Born between 8/1/2001 and 7/31/2002
U13 - Born between 8/1/2000 and 7/31/2001
U14 - Born between 8/1/1999 and 7/31/2000

Parent Responsibilities
- Register your child(ren) on the SWSC website BEFORE May 31st - Register Online - Fall 2013 Travel Registration.
- Pay the registration fee in full.
- Arrive at Tryouts 30 minutes before posted start time for check in and number assignment.
- Bring a 1 inch x 1 inch photograph of your child (face shot) with his/her name written on the back.
- NEW PLAYERS ONLY - bring original birth certificate and copy to leave with coach.
- Participants should come in appropriate athletic attire with soccer cleats, shin guards and plenty of water.
- Players should plan on attending BOTH tryout dates for their gender!
- ALL U9 - U12 players will be required to purchase a new uniform for the Fall season.
