How do I purchase my players' uniform? You would purchase through our uniform vendor Moore Sports. Before you order MAKE SURE the number you are requesting is available within your age group/team.
When are tryouts held? Fall Tryouts are typically held in June (for the following Fall) and Supplemental tryouts for teams that may need additional players in the spring are held in February.
Coaching looks really fun. How do I get involved? Log into your SWSC account. On your account page, look on the left hand side for the button to register as a Volunteer.
What do I need to provide for my player? You will need to purchase a uniform (2 Jerseys, Shorts, Socks) You would provide cleats, shin guards, and a ball.
Can I buy SWSC gear (sweatshirts/hats/etc.)? Of course! Visit Moore Sports to order your Spirit gear
Is my registration for one Season or one year? One year, Fall & the following Spring
Will I get a new uniform in the Spring if I played in the Fall? No. Only new to the team players buy new uniform in the Spring.
Where are games held? Multiple Towns, however when home you would be at Nevers, Rye, Pleasant Valley, or TE
When are games? Saturdays - Friendlies & Sunday - League games
What time are games? 9am-5pm
How many practices should I expect per week? Travel teams have 2 practices per week.
Where are practices held? Rye Street, Nevers, TE or Pleasant Valley
What should my child wear to practice? Athletic shorts or pants, shin guards (inside soccer socks) weather appropriate shirt, soccer cleats (no metal cleats). Please be sure your child is not wearing jeans, dress pants, or khakis.
How long are the practices? 1 hour and 15 minutes
What is the CT CUP? A single elimination Statewide Tournament that most travel teams participate in. The 1st game is a draw, and then follow brackets after that. For more info visit CJSA Site

Are there additional training opportunities for my child? Yes, Friday night Clinics
What are Silent Sidelines and when are they held? Coaches will be permitted to give players direction from the sidelines. Spectators will be directed to refrain from making any comments to players, coaches or referees, but will be permitted to applaud efforts by players. We are requesting that all spectators remain silent on these weekends. We would like to provide each player at least one game of their season that is free of the distractions caused by spectators screaming and yelling at them. The Spring Silent Sidelines weekend will be the third weekend of May and the Fall Silent Sidelines will be the third weekend of October
