Little Bobcats

2021 Fall Little Bobcats U4

This special program is designed just for our youngest soccer enthusiasts! Four and Five year-old players will learn to move their bodies around a soccer field and balance while manipulating a ball. Our focus will be on fun movement games to strengthen gross motor skills and introducing the concept of teamwork.

This course is instructed by professional trainers and has limited enrollment available to non-residents of South Windsor.

Parent participation is encouraged to make young children comfortable with this soccer experience.

First session: Sunday, 9/5
Final session: 10/17
Location: Rye St. Park

Included in fee: jersey, shorts, socks, size 3 ball
For this program you will need: sneakers or cleats, a water bottle, and shin guards under socks

2021 Fall Academy Clinics

Please note that Academy clinics meet once per week and do not play weekend games.

Academy clinics are designed to help continuous development on a weekly basis. This program will be looking to help our young kids develop better coordination, individual skills, and spatial awareness. This will be done through lots of touches on the ball and guided play in different types of game scenarios. Kids will learn through playing the game broken down into smaller situations and be able to experience and experiment with their own abilities. Each session will be guided and coached by a professional coach. Perfect for players only practicing once a week with a team or any player looking to improve in a structured environment.

First session: Friday, 9/3 - time TBD
Final session: 10/15
Location: Rye St. Park


Included in fee: tee shirt

Recreational Soccer

2021 Fall Recreational Soccer

Players in our Recreational Soccer Program ("Rec") are assigned to a team that practices one night per week and plays one weekend game. This is a less competitive program with a focus on having fun and learning new skills. Note U12 and U15 play both home and away games.

First practice: week of 8/30
First games: 9/4
Final games: 10/16
Location: Rye St. Park

2021 Fall Travel Soccer

Travel soccer meets the needs of our more competitive players with a commitment of two practices each week and one/two games each weekend. Teams play away games (typically in Hartford county) and in some cases tournaments in towns elsewhere in CT.

All players, new and returning, must try out each fall. Tryouts will be held the week of June 7th at Nevers Park. See details on your registration confirmation.

2021 Fall TOPS special needs soccer

TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based program for young athletes with special needs. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, age four to nineteen, who would benefit from more individualized attention.

Each participant is assisted with activities on the field that help with balance, coordination, and strength. 

Volunteer Mentors, age twelve to adult, are paired with the athletes to help demonstrate drills and foster interactions between players.

First session: Sunday, 9/5 1pm
Final session: 10/17
